Adequate and sustainable funding is one of the biggest challenges for artists and arts institutions. JCAC seeks funding from a variety of sources for re-granting. When funds become available, we will share them here.

Elevation Advanced Artist Grant

The Elevation Advanced Artist Grant offers financial support for 10 artists with 7 plus years of career experience, seeking to continue education, training, and/or career in the visual and performing arts. Awards are based on artistic merit, evidence of commitment to a career in the arts, and financial need.

Individual Artist Fellowship

The Individual Artist Fellowship program provides residents of Jersey City who are exploring a career in the arts with an unrestricted grant to support and supplement their creative output over the year.

Antenna Grant for Women in the Arts

The Antenna Grant for Women in the Arts offers financial support and mentorship for young women of color pursuing an education, training, and/or career in the visual arts.

Arts Relief Fund (2022)

The purpose of this new round of Arts Relief Fund grants is to help our local arts and culture sector recover from the pandemic. Grants will provide financial support to Jersey City nonprofits that contribute to our progressive, equitable, and multicultural arts sector.

Jersey City Artist Recovery Fund

The purpose of these grants was to help support artists’ basic living and career-sustaining needs due to the loss of work and earning opportunities caused by COVID-19 illness or related business disruptions.

Arts Relief Fund

During the COVID-19 pandemic, JCAC partnered with the JCEDC to provide emergency relief grants to our arts community. The intent of these grants was to provide support to artists and arts organizations who had been directly impacted by the public health crisis.
