A 51-year-old artist in Germany who worked in Munich’s Pinakothek der Moderne Museum decided to hang his own painting in the permanent collection. He was fired for drilling two holes in the wall. Other museums in Europe reported a few copycats. We get it, though, don’t we?
Artists experiment with new ideas and want people to see what they’re doing. They enter juried exhibitions hoping to be accepted. They participate in portfolio reviews listening for positive remarks while making connections to gallerists and curators.
In the spirit of the museum worker in Germany, Pro Arts members curated and installed their own pieces for this exhibition!
Participating Artists: Elliot Appel, Stephanie Guillen, Deborah Pohl, M. Malcolm King, Alberte Bernier, Cheryl Gross, Josephine Barreiro, Andrea Epstein, Dorie Dahlberg, Alvin Quinones, Nanette Reynolds Beachner, Robyn Prezioso, Anna Collevecchio, Roberto Colangeli, Carol Cassel Baker, Kevin McCaffrey, Heather Williams, Bill Rybak, Jen Morris, Edwin Rivera, Joel Simpson, Laura Lou Levy, Judy Wukitsch, Jodie Fink, Tatyana Kazakova, Josh Urso, Laurie Pettine, Rene Saheb, Andrea Kroenig, Tino F.
