Jersey City Arts Council 2025 Annual Meeting + Mixer Recap

On behalf of the Board of Directors, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for the 2025 Annual Meeting + Mixer! It was a memorable evening filled with connection, reflection, and celebration of everything that makes the Jersey City arts community so vibrant.

We were thrilled to gather with so many supporters, artists, and community partners to look back on an impactful year. Together, we celebrated highlights such as the selection of the new Poet Laureate, legal resources for artist workshops, JCAST Community Meeting, Individual Artist Fellowship awardees, and we shared our vision for the future. The evening also featured testimonials from 2024 Individual Artist Fellowship awardees Samantha Geracht, George R. Martens II, and Catroina Rubenis-Stevens, and an impromptu performance by Ashton G.

The event also marked a new chapter as we welcomed Deonté Griffin-Quick as JCAC’s new Executive Director. We are excited for the leadership, energy, and passion he brings to this role.

As we move forward, we’re more committed than ever to supporting local artists, uplifting arts and cultural organizations, creating inclusive spaces, and amplifying the cultural voices of Jersey City. Thank you for being a vital part of this journey.
