Art House Productions Invites You to Support Local Artists on December 3

Art House Productions is pleased to announce JC Fridays on Friday, December 3. Jersey City’s premiere quarterly arts festival will showcase a variety of happenings including visual art exhibitions, artist/maker marts, and studio tours from 19 participating artists, businesses, and organizations.  JC Fridays is a seasonal multi-arts festival featuring art events that take place in restaurants, galleries, stores, and event spaces in almost every neighborhood in Jersey City. All events are free and open to the public. As one of the preeminent art scenes in the tri-state area, Jersey City is abound with visual and performing artists of all types, musicians, and individuals with unique talents; JC Fridays is one of the best times for them to share their newest projects and works.

Since day ONE local artists Robert Piersanti, Lawrence Ciarallo, Distort and Qassim Muñoz have offered to support us by displaying their art on our walls and an amazing mural on the front of the restaurant.  This show is for them and for all the local artists that are always there for the community.   The art show must go on!

 MUYU Market at SMUSH Gallery

Join MUYU, a local cultural incubator for low-income creatives, for a holiday market at SMUSH Gallery! Artist-vendors include Rosemary, Sally Helmi, Bleriot Thompson, Agua de Jade Apothecary, noaesthetics, Garden Grocery, and Taina Spicer. MUYU re-launches online this winter -- catch them in person this JC Fridays!

 CMPND x Nachalie Rodriguez: Circle of Life Series

 New Jersey City University Galleries: Wonder Women Artist Talk: Health and Art in a Global Pandemic

Join us for our free Virtual Artist talk, or stop by the galleries in-person to see our exhibits! Virtual art talk by four artists from the current exhibit in the Visual Arts Gallery, Wonder Women 12: A Health Survey. Pollie Barden, Doris Caçoilo, Christine DaCruz, and Sharon Lee DeLa Cruz

 Ben Fine: Open Artist Studio

Artist Ben Fine will open his studio for a holiday sale - offering framed limited edition prints of his cityscapes.  These cityscapes were painted from a fourth-floor window overlooking a corner of Hamilton Park during the lockdown of 2020.

 NOW Project Space for the Arts: Hopeful

NOW Project Space for the Arts welcomes artist Charlie Hewitt in the walk by public art windows. NPSA welcomes Vikki Michalios in the walk by public works windows.

 Art150: Holiday Market & Open Studios

Art150 will have an extensive exhibition of artwork for $250 or less, as well as further original artwork available in the more than 50 artist studios (including Paul Wirhun/Eggman and m.gluck). The artists of Art150 include painters, photographers, sculptors and mixed media artists.  The Art150 space also includes the Pro Arts gallery, which will have arts vendors during JC Fridays, as well as Art House Gallery, which will have its Very Affordable Art Show on display.

"The Very Affordable Art Show" includes works of art all priced at $250 and under. Showcasing pieces with gift-giving in mind, all works are priced to be affordable for the holiday season. Works include paintings, small sculptures, handmade gifts, and more!

 Theda Sandiford Art: Free Your Mind: Public Social Justice Art Project

Free Your Mind is a collection of personal narratives. Participants are invited to write onto a ribbon an experience with microaggressions and then, tie the ribbon onto a net, to release this story from their personal narrative. Later, artist Theda Sandiford will weave the story ribbons into a protective blanket.

 Pro Arts Holiday Bazaar at ART150

A Holiday Bazaar at ART150 featuring local artisans, crafters and artists, just in time for the Holiday Season.  With goodies and gifts for sale during the kickoff of the Season, this event is not to be missed!
